METRO IVF 1ST VISIT

DEC 9, 2015 9.00am walked in and asked for Dr Tee Swi Peng.

Doctor was in and will start consultation after 9.30a.m so we registered and walked a couple blocks away to have breakfast....

Then went back to the waiting hall on the GF behind reception hall. Suddenly heard one of the nurse in the front counter yelling my name...panicked i rush backed to the reception counter and was told to go to first floor. Seriously such a lame system.

Went to first floor and waited for 5 min went my name was called by the nurse to doctors room. Went and gavé my file first and said nothing. He went through all the test and asked a couple of question and told the exact same thing: I have VERY LOW RESERVE..0.7 ....NEED ACTION IMMEDIATELY.

He performed

• vaginal scan and note 3 follicles on the right  and cyst on left ovary but managed to find 2 follicles. TOTAL 5
•  pap smear
• blood test for hormone and thyroid
• SA for Jack......

Yet again Jack refused at first....but did it anyway. 

Dr gave me medicine to clear the cyst for 21 days and at the same time pause my RED ZONE until i finished my med.

He said my only option is IVF + ICSI....and informed to register by end of this year for RM14,880 or face increase to RM15,550 next year. 

He told us to met the counselor for IVF procedure fees and details. Thanked him and went for semen test ten wait for counselor for 10 - 20 minutes. Jack didnt listen to any of the words except the total cost. I had fun time talking to her...

After getting my med and paid the fee, we left and i can see that Jack was mad....He said that he want to buy car first....he can wait for baby after few years....m like OMG...did you not listen....both the doctor and counselor insist i start immediately to be successful....Like why are you talking about waiting....i want to start IVF on the very next cycle. 

Went office and on the way told everything to grandma...she understands and supports me...am so HAPPY that she is there for me even she have her own problems....

At office shared everything to colleague MAHES. She also understand and supports me....She supports me and told me start my treatment immediately for best result....

KL FERTILITY 4TH VIST

Called the clinic for my blood work result. One of the nurse called be back and told:

Vitamin D = 16.0 nmol/L opposed min 60.0 nmol/L
Prolactin = 515.7mIU/L (normal)

and consult doctor for my AMH result.....SUSPENCE

Dec 8, 2015 8.30am sharp went to see the doctor...after waiting for 5 or so minute, went in and ..........

Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH/MIS) = 0.7 pmol/L opposed min 14.3 pmol/L

Conclusion : Very Low Ovarian Reserve < 1

Not even 1....0.7....seriously whats wrong with me....

SOOOOOO ONLY ONE OPTION :

IVF (LOW RESERVE) + ICSI (LOW SPERM) = PERFECT COUPLE....

Told the Dr.Natasha that i will be going for 2nd opinion and she encouraged it...told me to go ahead but decide quickly as my reserve deplete quickly. No wasting time or will regret later.

• Vitamin D3 drops
• Calcium

Paid and fight all to to car and all the way to office. Jack still refuses to believe in IVF....insist that other doctors will say no to IVF....So i went back to office and called METRO IVF Klang asking for appointment for tomorrow...Told to walk in anytime form 8.30am to 12.00pm...

KL FERTILITY 3RD VISIT

As usual RED ZONE is here. No matter how hard we tried i can get pregnant. i can only dream of getting pregnant and watch Youtubers announcing their pregnancy online....SOOOOO JEALOUS......

WHY ME...AM JUST 26....was virgin until this Feb 2015. is this my punishment for being GOOD.

So to cut the chase i called clinic and made appointment for Nov 16, 2015

NOV 16, 2015 10.45a.m CYCLE DAY 3

Reached right on time and had to wait almost to an hour before it our turn. Went in had the usual vaginal scan and this time the right still shows 3 folliclers and the left has 2 folliclers. Total 5.

Straight away she said that i might have low ovarian reserve because:

1. my hormones were way TOO HIGH for my age
2. my folliclers are way TOO LOW for my age. 

She assigned me to take the following Tests:

• Prolactin
• Vitamin D 
• AMH

And to have my Rubella shot (skip this months baby making session)....condom only 

And given DHEA 25mg (3 pills per day)

I said ok....because the test will show if my reserve is indeed low or i have some other problem. Went back to 4th floor to draw blood and submit at the reception. One of the test need to be sent to Taiwan and result after 2 weeks. 

If i suffer for Low Reserve then together with Jack's LOW SA = IVF + ICSI

Thanked the doctor and attend a session with one of the staff nurse explaining about IVF process and cost. Signed forms to start IVF if i indeed have LOW RESERVE.

Paid for consultation and left with VERY HEAVY HEART

I was shocked but only for few minutes as i CAN have the chance to have a baby with IVF if i indeed had Low Reserve. Took me only few minutes to decided to pay for IVF with my saving just to have my BABY. The saving that took couple of years of being on strict budget and control. 

Jack on the other hand flat out refused to believe that we have problem and STRONGLY believes that we can be successful naturally by INCREASING our time together.....After all his and my mother both have 3 kids each naturally. He said the doctor are lying to get me do IVF for money..He doesnt want to waste his money on IVF..He rather spend on a new car (his exact words)

Of course i don't want to have any problem to begin with and conceive naturally but so far nothing. I have to do something...Find out why i am not pregnant and not just sit and wait for nature to take its course. Of course i want the doctor to see my result and say NORMAL...you can conceive normally. No need for treatment. But i have to consider that i might indeed have Low Reserve and I have the option to undergo IVF if i really want a BABY. 

Weather u are with or not, i am going to have my BABY, with or without you, JACK...

Its not you who needs to take all those pills

Not to mention 9 months of pregnancy and finally labour pain...

And i didnt ask you to pay JACK. I dont remember asking your help in payment department. Why are you soooo in DENIAL MODE...and just because nobody you know is having this problem doesnt mean we wont have any problem either....JUST KEEP YOUR MIND OPEN and do your research....

With or without you, i am going to have my baby. END OF STORY

KL FERTILITY 2ND VISIT

Oct 26, 2015 10.30 a.m CYCLE DAY 12

Arrived at 10.00a.m and registered and were called in around 10.35a.m. Dr.Natasha has our blood work results.

Jack's report is CLEAN. No Hepatitis or HIV I & II. Good job buddy.

JACK'S BLOOD RESULT

Mine :
Rubella IgG = 0.1 IU/mL opposed to normal 10 IU/mL
FSH = 18.7 IU/L opposed to max 12.5 IU/L
LH = 10.1 IU/L normal
Prolactin = 689.4 mIU/L opposed to max 633.9 mIU/L

PURNI'S BLOOD RESULT

• Need rubella shot
• Hormone level of a 36 - 40 years old
• Provide urine sample for Ovulation Test 
• Told to have sex on and off a day from today.

Went home after made the payment...The parking is damn expensive RM12 for 3 or so hours. Curse you greedy management.

KL FERTILITY 1ST VISIT

OCT 16, 2015 10.30am First Appointment at KL Fertility Centre. CYCLE DAY 2 

I know its an expensive choice but when its comes to BABY and i know deep in my gut that something is not right and its not going to happen naturally...its not like i want the doctor to say that Jack and I have problem. I want to know if is something wrong with me or Jack?

I hoped that the doctor will say that both of us are young and healthy...maybe timing problem or such....nobody wanted to step into a fertility clinic hoping the doctor would say OMG U HAVE PROBLEM...U CANNOT CONCEIVE NATURALLY.

So i went online and find out my options and finally selected Fertility Assessment Package of KL Fertility Center.

The package offers consultant with Dr.Natasha Ain or Dr.A.Agilan. I decided to choose Dr.Natasha because its my very first time consulting fertility and wanted a matured women to understand me. Also from the website i learned that she went through fertility treatment herself.  Link to Dr.Natasha 's Blog

Reached the clinic at 10.20 am and registered....i was so nervous and messed up the personal details.... after waiting for 20 or so minutes we were called in. We were greeted with smile with relaxes my tensed feeling. The Dr Natasha asked us some basic questions like medication, previous surgeries, how many years TTC and so on...

Then she did the abdominal and transvaginal scans.

Scan results :

• 3 follicles in right ovary
• cyst on left side blocking the left ovary so cannot see how many follicles there are...clear cyst that will go away on its own...nothing to be worried about she said. 
• but the number of follicles on the right is very low. Normally there should be 15 -20 follicles. 

So she ordered the following Tests:

• Blood test for Jack and Me
• Semen Test 

Jack was so paranoid for the semen test...

After the semen test, we went down from 6th floor to 4th (3A) for the blood test....After the test we went for lunch. After 1 hour at 1.00pm went back for semen analysis.

One word: BAD

• count = 5mil opposed to normal > 15mil
• motility = 20% opposed to normal > 40%
• morphology = 0% opposed to normal > 4%

Based on the SA Dr prescribe some supplements for Jack. And set next appointment on 26th Oct 2015. Then she will pass us the blood test results. After we made the payment (as below) we went back to work.
